The Ale Nuñez Sextet is a group of Ontario Musicians, both current and past students of UofT and Humber. They play frequently together around Toronto, at venues such as The Jazz Bistro, The Emmet Ray, and Drom Taberna, to name a few. Ale loves to share her passion for jazz and all genres of music with every performance, she draws the audience in, with a voice that is uniquely her own yet reminiscent of vocalists such as Nancy Wilson, Sarah Vaughan, Etta Jones, and Julie London. Ale brings together this group of talented individuals who share her passion, Keith Barstow on Drums, Julian Straatsma on keys, Hiro Tanaka on upright bass, Vlad Redzic on Guitar, and Tymish Koznarsky on Alto Saxophone. They look forward to playing both original music and arrangements of jazz classics at this year’s festival.
