Dwit Hathi is an Indian-born/Toronto-based guitarist, composer, producer, and sound engineer. He also leads his band, the Dwit Hathi Quintet. His musical background combines both western and his south-Asian roots which reflect in his compositions and his improvisational ideas. His music draws inspiration from the music of Pat Metheny, Julian Lage, Rez Abbasi, and Nir Felder to name a few. The Dwit Hathi Quintet features Dwit on guitars/compositions, Ethan Zabarylo on Tenor Saxophone, Peter Holbrook on Piano, Christopher Parnis on Upright Bass and Aaron Blewett on Drums.
