In its grandeur and freedom, our collective aspires to convey emotions through music. Music, a beautiful gift, is something we are eager to share with everyone without exception. Bringing joy and love through music is the most exquisite expression in the world. Nothing caresses our hearts like the weightless sounds of the beautiful and the unfathomable.

Our band explores the realms of jazz, fusion, soul, and funk. We genuinely revel in the fusion of captivating jazz harmonies and the freedom of improvisation. Through the remarkable possibilities these styles offer, we endeavour to express our profound love for the world and, as a gesture of gratitude, present the magnificent and boundless art of music.

The story of how our band came to be is truly fascinating. Both I and my colleagues were part of different groups, and the idea of having our own collective always intrigued me. One and a half years ago, a friend of mine called and mentioned that he knew someone looking for a musical ensemble to perform at a festival in October. All the bands I knew were already booked, but I knew individual musicians. The idea struck me: it was time to introduce something new to our city.

I contacted the musicians I wanted to play with, and to my surprise, everyone was available on that day. I prepared a setlist, and after several rehearsals, we gave our first concert. The audience and we ourselves were thrilled, and we unanimously decided to continue this musical journey. As we thought about a name, our collaborative efforts led us to the charming title "Groovy Turtles," which resonated in our hearts. We truly enjoyed this name, and at each subsequent performance, people approached us, expressing interest in inviting us to various events. Over the past year and a half, we have given many concerts and even performed at the Toronto Pavilion, one of the best concert venues in the GTA, in front of over 1,000 people. For us, this is a wonderful signal that we must undoubtedly continue this musical journey.
