With a foundation in jazz and an affinity for Americana music, the Harry Bartlett Trio “transcends a single genre” (Textura) Merging an improvisational approach with folk influences, the Trio’s music is at once recognizably nostalgic and unexpectedly fresh.

The Trio began playing in 2018 with the release of an EP, The Harry Bartlett Trio. In 2019 the trio conducted a National tour- performing in venues and festivals across Canada and delivering workshops in improvisation.

In 2021, the Harry Bartlett Trio recorded their sophomore record, Wildwood, which “blends Jazz, Folk, and Western music styles into an extraordinarily creative listening experience” (Midwest Book Review). The compositions on Wildwood were written and recorded over a 6 month period on Gambier Island BC. The rugged, isolated character of the BC coast permeate this record lending qualities of reverence and peace. Wildwood was released November 18th, 2022 and will be the focus of the Trio’s performances through 2023.
