The Paul Callander Quintet

The Paul Callander Quintet is an up-and-coming jazz combo that was started in the summer of 2019 as a creative outlet for Paul’s original writing style. The band is comprised of Paul Callander on trumpet, Daniel Barta on alto sax, John Kervin on piano, Bill Kervin on drums, and Teagan Larmand on bass.

Bill is a graduate of Humber College’s bachelor of music program, and the others are in their final fourth year of study. The band released their debut album entitled “The Green Trees of June” in March of 2020, followed by another single entitled “Melancholy Mood” in August. This energetic group of musicians combines the sounds of hard bop, swing, Latin, funk, and more to make for a unique and satisfying listening experience.
